Lucy Baker is a painter and environment creator who aims to capture the narratives between painterly surfaces, application and subjects within a work. Each painting’s experimental cracked gold surface dictated the objects then painted on top of it. A key focus within her work is to create a world, dream like in quality, capturing the moment before you wake - half between the dream world and reality.  The work plays with the viewers own ideals, allowing them to influence the paintings narratives and encouraging them to become tailored to their own experiences.
