Vic Wright - Shaped Surface

POSTPONED until further notice

Exhibition artworks coming soon

BEARSPACE is pleased to present new sculptures by artist Vic Wright as part of her exhibition, ‘Shaped Surface.’  Wright casts naturalistic stone forms using cement and pigment from her studio, combining them together with other created elements such as crystal and cement filigree. The exhibition will be filled with her work at different heights and levels allowing visitors to see the angles and shapes the work creates.

The theme of her works references the visual textures of rock strata and organic mineral particles.  The artist will explore a range of surfaces in sculptural form. The materials and elements used in Vic Wright’s work evoke the natural world, only amplified, distorted and moulded to give them new context. This current body of work is an exploration into surface pattern and textures, with use of grown crystals and cement filigree. The resulting works will have vibrancy, as she plays with more contrasting elements that are geologically inspired creations from her studio.

Vic Wright was born & practices in Manchester. In 2018 she was featured in Form, Lifestyle Store, Manchester, and in 2019 had articles published in Wilma Journal, Material Source and was featured as artist of the month in ‘Cotton On Manchester.’

She showed at both the Affordable Art Fair & Homes & Garden Festival with BEARSPACE & as part of groups shows at Bankley & Air Gallery, Manchester

BEARSPACE is pleased to be exhibiting Vic Wright whom we feel takes an experimental & design-led approach to fine art sculpture.
