Melissa interested in exploring the idea of being-in-the-world, particularly from a de-anthropocentric
perspective: How do we relate to the objects and environments that surround us and how do those objects and
environments relate to each other.
The overlapping nature of my field of research is reflected in the artists practice and often employs a lateral approach to the production of work, exploring several ideas simultaneously to produce independent yet associated outcomes. As a result, many of the things I make can vary greatly in their media, aesthetic and subject matter.
